Love of Quilting November/December 2018

As the year draws to a close, and the chill of winter keeps us close to home, it’s natural to look back at all you’ve accomplished… And want to celebrate it!

It’s been a transformative year at Love of Quilting, as we’ve moved our offices from Des Moines, Iowa, to Golden, Colorado, to join our sister publications. We’ve said a sad goodbye to dear friends, and a joyful hello to new ones, settled into new spaces, and amidst it all, pieced and patched together some marvelous things!

‘Tis the season to celebrate, and we’ve decided to celebrate our stitches with a true maker’s joy!

If you’ve quilted with us over the past year, you’ve certainly tried some new techniques. Celebrate the fact that you’ve mastered mitered borders with Decked with Holly, or show off your hard-won foundation-piecing expertise by whipping up a holiday table runner, aptly named Christmas Party Runner, for your upcoming holiday party.

Rejoice in each stitch with two delightful appliqué projects: our Nordic-inspired Gifts of the Season table runner, and Glorified Spice which combines the Glorified Nine-Patch quilt block with some sugar-and-spice, oh-so-nice appliqué.

Because we’re here to celebrate our stitches, we’ve included four patterns for table toppers. When you throw your holiday party, make sure you’ve decked your halls with your own patchwork projects!

Thank you for being our patchwork friends in 2018, and here’s to more quilting adventures!
