Your instructor for Sew-on-the-Go with Needle Turn Hand Appliqué is Deanne Eisenman, who has been quilting for more than 25 years, and has been designing her own quilt patterns for about that long.

“I started hand appliqué when I had a patchwork quilt, and I thought it looked a little empty…” says Deanne. “So I decided to add needle-turn appliqué to these quilts to give it my own unique flair.” She’s been using needle-turn appliqué to personalize her quilts ever since.

In this workshop, she’ll familiarize you with the tools that you need for appliqué. You’ll also learn about creating the background, picking out your fabrics for the appliqués, and how to work with bias strips. You’re going to learn how to stitch the actual appliqué stitch, and how to use that for points and curves.

You can choose a light or dark background.
