All deadlines are at 11:59 PM EST, on the specified date.
How to Enter
You must enter online. All entrants must create a log-in and submit entry through the digital platform. All entries must be submitted as digital files. There is no limit to the number of entries you may submit.
Image requirements for entries: JPG files (Please try to keep the file size under 5 MB to ensure proper uploading). The viewing screen & thumbnail that you see during the entry process is for general reference only and does not reflect the image quality that will be viewed by jurors. The file that you attach is exactly as it will appear to the jurors.
Entrants will be asked to provide specific written information about their selected piece(s).
Rules
There are no size restrictions and quilts must consist of 3 layers.
Quilts must be the work of the individual applying to the competition. There is no limit to the number of entries each quilter may make.
All works must be original and completed within the last three years. All quilting styles – traditional, modern, and art – are acceptable. Compositions based on published material or other artists’ work are NOT considered original and are not eligible. Quilts may be quilted by another person if that individual is credited.
Quilts that have won major competitions in the last three years are also not eligible in this contest.
The following are not permitted to enter the contest: employees of Peak Media Properties LLC (dba Golden Peak Media), and their immediate families.
Quilting Daily reserves the right to reject work deemed unsuitable for publication or that does not meet above criteria.
Judging and Notification
Entries will be juried and finalists chosen by the editorial staff of Quilting Daily. All properly prepared entries will be viewed and judged. The decision of the jurors is final. Finalists will be notified by July 17, 2020. Quilts selected as finalists must be available to be shipped to Golden, CO for final judging and photography and must arrive no later than August 1, 2020.
Finalist quilts will be judged by certified judge Christine N. Brown, who will determine final winners.
Christine is an NACQJ/NQA certified master quilt judge with over 25 years of judging experience, a quilt pattern designer, writer and former editor of American Quilter Magazine. As an award winning quiltmaker, she brings her years of experience and keen eye for detail to our competition.
Your credit-card charge will be notification for receipt of your entry. All winners will be notified by August 14, 2020. The results will not otherwise be made public until they are published on our website. Non-winning entrants will not be individually notified of the results.
