Celestial Quilt by Sharon Holland

Correction to Cutting:

From the feature print, cut 1 (6½” x 40”) strip. From the strip, cut 4 (6½”) squares for the center units.

Note: The 7¾” squares are needed to create the Half-square Triangle blocks. Unfortunately, both these squares and the center units (in feature print) are referred to as “A squares”—it might be more helpful to refer to the 7¾” squares for the HSTs as A squares and think of the 6½” cut squares in the feature print just as Center Units.

We apologize for this error.

  1. In Honor of” quilt digital pattern is there an error in cutting? The red stripe says 6 7/8 squares cut into squares then diagonal. The blue says cut 9 7/8 squares then on diagonal. these triangles would not match to make the needed squares.

  2. I purchased “Glorious Clams.pdf and was getting ready to make it today. There are pieces missing, it says WEBXTRA for foundation patterns to print for units 1, 2 and 3, go to Quiltersnewsletter.com. I’ve searched everywhere and can’t find them. The pattern came from a 2015 issue of Quiltersnewsletter. Thank you!

  3. Rifted Rails pattern in QuiltCon 2019 magazine has some errors.

    It needs 22 x units not 23
    5 Y units not 4
    4 D/Y/D units
    9 D/X/D units
    8 Block 1
    4 Block 2

  4. I bought the pattern Patchy Stars and none of the pieces came out very good. I ended up with 8 1/2 inch blocks and they should have been 9 inch. The directions said the measurements for cutting include 1/4 inch seam allowance. I think there is a mistake somewhere and I cut all of my pieces before I started sewing! Ouch! I am trying to adjust the pieces to fit the 81/2 inch blocks. [email protected] Did anyone else have this problem with this pattern? Or did I do something wrong myself?
