Love of Quilting TV Show – 2800 Series – Fons & Porter

Our best-selling online course is back and better than ever! APQS Longarm Certification Sponsored by Quilting Daily has been revised and updated. Not only will you learn how to make beautiful quilts, you’ll also gain skills to turn your passion into a paycheck with tips on how to run your own quilting business.

This series includes two original quilts created by Marianne Fons, and a quilt designed by a staff member that uses a traditional design with a modern twist. We present quilts created to honor our service men and women, as well as lessons about string piecing, patchwork using non-traditional fabrics, a bit of embellishment and longarm quilting design inspiration. We also present great tips and techniques to add to your piecing skills.

Series Credits: Projects are sewn on a Baby Lock sewing machine and finished on an APQS Mellennium longarm quilting system. The sewing center is provided by Koala Studios. Springs Creative fabrics are used in the background of all episodes and in projects featured in episodes 2801 and 2805. For piecing, we use the quilting presser foot or the monogramming presser foot. We use basic sewing supplies such as fabric, rotary cutters, and scissors. Each episode below lists the Love of Quilting issue featuring patterns and instructions for quilts shown in the 2800 series. We have Love of Quilting DVDs for our TV shows available in our online shop.
